Helping children find loving homes and support.
JBV Unlimited Services is a foster child placing agency dedicated to providing compassionate care for children from birth to 17 years old. Our team of experienced professionals understand the unique needs of children in care and work tirelessly to ensure that each child receives the support and resources they need to thrive.
We take a holistic approach to foster care, addressing not only the physical needs of children but also their emotional, social, and educational needs. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we work diligently to make that a reality.
Since our inception, we have helped hundreds of children find loving homes and supportive families. Our impact extends beyond the children we serve, as we also work to raise awareness about foster care and advocate for positive change in the child welfare system.
Many people tell us that foster care is something that they may have thought about for awhile. Maybe you know someone who was a foster parent or foster child? Maybe you saw something on TV or an ad in the newspaper? Maybe you saw a post on the internet? Maybe you just thought it sounded like something interesting to do?
When we meet with prospective foster parents, we share with them information on what foster care is, who the children are, what the requirements to become a foster parent, and how to start the process. Equally important is answering the question, “Why should I become a foster parent?”
The answer to that question is different for each person, of course, but over our years of experience we have found that the most successful foster parents often mention some common reasons:
We’re sure there are other good reasons to become a foster parent. We’d love to meet with you to talk about how you can join us in our mission to give hope, help and healing to children, families and communities.
Foster parenting may be the most challenging job you’ll ever have, but it can be the most rewarding one as well.

Foster care is a temporary, state-supervised system that provides a safe, stable, and temporary living arrangement for children who cannot live with their biological families due to abuse, neglect, or other instability. The primary goal is to ensure the child's well-being while working towards reunification with their family or finding a permanent home, which may include adoption. Foster parents are licensed and trained caregivers who provide a child with housing, food, and support until a long-term plan is established. Add an answer to this item.
A foster parent is an adult licensed by the state or a private agency to provide temporary, safe, and nurturing care for a child or youth who has been removed from their biological home due to abuse, neglect, or a family crisis.
Respite foster care is a temporary placement where a licensed foster parent takes in a foster child for a short period of time (hours or up to 14 days) to give the child's primary foster parents a break, allowing them to deal with personal needs or emergencies without having to continuously care for the child; essentially, it's a short-term "time off" for the primary foster family.
Children enter foster care through no fault of their own, primarily due to abuse, neglect, or a serious family crisis where their birth parents cannot safely care for them. They range in age from infants to youth up to age 21, and include children of all races, ethnicities, and needs. There is a particular need for homes for teenagers, sibling groups, and children with developmental, emotional, or medical needs
Foster care agencies like JBV Unlimited Services work to provide safe and stable homes for children in need by recruiting parents, training, and supporting foster families.

No. You can be single, married, or in a committed relationship; you can own or rent your home; and you do not necessarily need prior parenting experience. The focus is on your ability to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
Foster parents do not receive a "salary" or "wage". Instead, they receive a monthly, tax-exempt stipend (reimbursement) to help cover the child's daily living expenses, such as food, clothing, utilities, and school supplies. The amount varies by state, the child's age, and their specific needs.
Foster parents are part of a support team that includes caseworkers, therapists, and agency staff. Children in foster care are also eligible for medical and dental coverage (usually through Medicaid) and other benefits like WIC (for children under five). Many agencies also offer ongoing training, support groups, and access to respite care services to provide temporary breaks.
